Mammals are animals that usually have hair and don't lay eggs (except for the platypus and anteater). Humans are also mammals. They do have hair. Even though birds look like mammals, they have feathers, not hair, and lay eggs. Mammals don't always have hair because whales and dolphins are mammals. A lot of animals are mammals.
